RYFA Flag Football aims to provide a fun, age-appropriate, learning environment where kids can play non-contact football, regardless of skill level.  While the focus will be on the passing elements of the game (QB/C exchange, proper route running, proper throwing form, pass defense, and timing), the goal of the program is to give all kids a chance to throw and catch the ball, regardless of positions they may play in the fall program.

No previous football experience is necessary.  The RYFA Flag Football program is great for kids that are both experienced and new to the game.

Spring Program:

All boys and girls currently in Grades Kindergarten through 8th (in the current academic year).  

Fall Program:

In the fall, we offer two flag football programs.

• K-3rd Flag Football - Open to boys and girls in K-3rd Grade. This in-house league plays all games at the RYFA Fields on Saturday mornings.
• 4th-6th Grade Traveling Flag Football - This is a smaller flag football program that plays against other towns. (i.e. Byron, Pine Island, etc.) This team is open to a limited number of kids in 4th-6th Grade. 

Spring Program:

Sunday afternoons in the Spring.

Fall Program:

Saturday mornings in the Fall for K-3rd Grade. Traveling Flag Football for 4th-6th grade plays games on Saturdays.

The cost for RYFA Flag Football is $100-$125 (depending on the season).  This includes a game jersey and flags.

NO equipment is required! Players should wear athletic shoes or cleats. 

The first session will focus on the kids getting to know their teams, their coaches, and the basic format of RYFA Flag Football. The first session will end with a short scrimmage against another team.

Remaining sessions will be composed of a short practice and two games.  If one session is cancelled due to weather, that session will not be made up. If more than one session is cancelled due to weather, the league will schedule a make-up day.

All games for the Spring K-8th Grade and Fall K-3rd Grade programs will be played at the RYFA fields. The 4th-6th Grade Traveling program in the fall is played at different fields in our area.
