Former Rochester Youth Football Player & NFL Star Darrell Thompson to speak in Rochester.

Darrell Thompson: Coming Full Circle. From Rochester Youth & John Marshall Football to the NFL and Now Paying It Forward.

After graduating from John Marshall High School in Rochester, Darrell Thompson played college football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers, where he became the school's all time leader in career rushing yards. Thompson was selected 19th overall by the Green Bay Packers in the 1990 NFL Draft. During his NFL career, he played in 60 games, gained 1640 rushing, 330 yards receiving, and scored 8 touchdowns. Darrell is the President of Bolder Options, an innovative organization focused on healthy youth development. Uniting one-on-one mentoring with goal setting, physical activity, tutoring, and leadership opportunities the program builds confidence, maximizes potential, and encourages healthy life skills in 10-14 year-olds. He leads a professional staff and volunteers as they work to achieve Bolder Options’ mission: Teaching youth to succeed in ALL of life’s races.
