RYFA awards scholarships to high school athletes that played in the RYFA program and also in high school. Applicants must plan to attend any college/university/vocational program in the Fall of 2024. (This is to encourage more applicants that are considering careers in the trades to apply.) If you would like to apply for a scholarship award from RYFA, please complete the online application form at the link below and submit the required documents. Deadline for applications is May 12, 2024 at 11:59pm.
In order to apply for the RYFA scholarship you must do the following by 11:59pm on May 12, 2024:
- Fill out the online application.
- Submit at least one recommendation letter with your online application. This could be from a teacher, coach, counselor, clergyman, etc. If you have more than one recommendation letter please combine them into a single PDF document.
- Submit an essay that explains how your experience in RYFA has impacted your life. Is there something you learned in RYFA that has made you a better teammate, student and/or human being? How will what you learned in RYFA benefit you in the future? The essay should be 300 words minimum, 500 words maximum. Please submit your typed essay as a PDF in the application portal.
- Submit a picture of you in your high school football uniform. This photo will be the one we use when we announce the scholarship winners via facebook. A photo of only you (not a group photo) is preferred.
