Financial Aid

RYFA Financial Assistance Application

Financial assistance is available to assist those players who are not able to afford the total costs associated with playing Rochester Youth Football.  Financial assistance is available for the player registration fee and/or the use of a helmet and shoulder pads (if needed).  In order to spread the assistance as far as possible, we ask each family seeking aid to pay as much as they can afford.

The primary criteria for qualifying for financial assistance is eligibility/participation in the Free/Reduced Lunch program.  If there are unusual circumstances and your child is not currently enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch program, or you cannot afford the percentages below, you may submit a letter explaining your situation.  Please provide as much information as possible to justify your request.  RYFA will determine the amount of aid granted based on the information you provided.  

For 2020 the following criteria will be used:

  • Players who qualify for the free lunch program will be required to pay 25% of the applicable registration fee.
  • Players who qualify for the reduced lunch program will be required to pay 50% of the applicable registration fee.

Applications for financial assistance must be made by a player's parent or guardian.  Financial assistance applications will be held in confidence between the parent/guardian and RYFA.  Receipt of financial assistance for a season does not guarantee financial assistance will be provided in subsequent seasons; a new request must be submitted for each season.  A current free/reduced lunch letter is required for the upcoming school year.  


We are currently accepting Financial Aid Applications for 2020 NFL SPRING FLAG FOOTBALL. Please click on the link below to fill out your financial aid application. Once your application is submitted it will be reviewed and you will be contacted if you are approved.  If approved RYFA will provide you with a discount code equal to the amount of Financial Aid.  You can then use that code to register the player(s).
