Financial Aid

RYFA Financial Assistance Application

Financial assistance is available to assist families who are unable to afford the costs associated with playing Rochester Youth Football. Financial assistance is available for the players' registration fee and/or the use of a helmet and shoulder pads (if needed).  In order to spread the assistance as far as possible, we ask each family to pay a percentage of the registration fee. 

The primary criteria for qualifying for financial assistance is eligibility/participation in the Free/Reduced Lunch program.  If your child is not currently enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch program, and you cannot afford the percentages below, you may submit a letter explaining your situation that explains your need for financial aid.  Please provide as much information as possible to justify your request.  RYFA will determine the amount of aid granted based on the information you provided.  

For 2024 the following criteria will be used:

  • Players who qualify for the free lunch program will be required to pay 25% of the applicable registration fee.
  • Players who qualify for the reduced lunch program will be required to pay 50% of the applicable registration fee.
  • Families who reach out to us with special circumstances for their request, that do not receive free/reduced lunch, may pay a different amount than what is reflected above. 

Applications for financial assistance must be made by a player's parent or guardian.  Financial assistance applications will be held in confidence between the parent/guardian and RYFA.  A new financial aid request must be submitted each season. You must fill out an application for each player. 


Financial Aid applications are being accepted for the 2024 Spring Flag Football Season. Applications for financial aid will close on Wednesday, April 3rd at 11:59pm. No financial aid applications will be accepted after that date/time.
